Welcome to Whimsy Wees Art Studio, a creative space in the Bethany area of Beaverton, serving families across Portland, Oregon.
Opened in 2023, our studio is a welcoming place where kids, teens, and adults can create, explore, and express their inner artist. From art classes and summer camps to paint parties, homeschool workshops, Family Paint Nights, Kids Night Outs, and Sip & Paint events, there’s always something inspiring happening in the studio.

Whimsy Wees was founded by Lisa Arcangel, a former elementary teacher with over 20 years of experience and a B.F.A. from Art Center College of Design.
Lisa created the studio to be more than just an art class. It’s a place where creativity builds confidence, where kids feel free to explore without pressure, and where every artist is encouraged to grow. You’ll often find her in the studio with music playing, bringing energy, joy, and connection to every art class whether it’s for kids or adults.

Our team brings heart, creativity, and a deep love for working with children and families in the Beaverton and Portland community.
Gwen Zydlewski joined in 2024 and brings calm, creativity, and thoughtful structure to the studio. With her background in art education and her naturally gentle presence, she helps create an environment where students feel supported, focused, and inspired.

Shayla joined in 2025 and brings a passion for community-centered art experiences. She loves connecting people of all ages through creativity, from young artists to seniors, and brings warmth, intention, and inspiration to every class she leads.

Jeanne leads many of our in-school enrichment programs, bringing years of experience working with elementary students. Her steady, encouraging presence helps students feel confident as they explore new materials and ideas, creating a supportive and engaging classroom environment.

Jordyn, our assistant teacher, is a creative and reliable part of the studio team. From preparing materials to supporting students, she helps keep the studio running smoothly while adding her own creative energy to the space.
