Whimsy Wees Art Studio is a welcoming art studio located in Bethany Village, serving children, adults, and families throughout Bethany, Beaverton, Cedar Mill, and NW Portland. Founded by a former elementary school teacher, we offer hands-on art classes, camps, workshops, and creative birthday parties designed to build artistic skills, confidence, and imagination. We believe everyone is an artist and can discover the joy of creating art in a supportive space.

Meet Our Creative Team
Lisa Arcangel: Owner & Director
Lisa founded Whimsy Wees Art Studio in 2023 after spending 20 years as an elementary school teacher. She holds a B.F.A. from ArtCenter College of Design and believes art should build confidence, encourage curiosity, and celebrate each artist’s unique ideas. Lisa brings energy, joy, and plenty of music to the studio while creating meaningful art experiences for kids, teens, and adults.
Gwen Zydlewski: Studio Manager
Gwen brings creativity, calm, and thoughtful structure to every class. Her background in art education and warm teaching style help students feel supported, focused, and inspired to try new things.
Jeanne Goodyear: Art Instructor
Jeanne leads many of our school enrichment Art Clubs and brings years of experience working with elementary students. Her steady and encouraging teaching style helps young artists feel confident as they explore new materials, techniques, and ideas.
Jordyn Fuson: Art Instructor
Jordyn is a creative and caring part of the Whimsy Wees team. She brings calm to our sometimes chaotic storage room, cleans and organizes the studio, and prepares art materials for upcoming events and projects.
