Artists will find themselves lost at sea during this week’s art camp, looking around at the big ocean blue. Artists will learn to paint on canvas with acrylics and capture their favorite ocean scene. What’s that hiding within their hand crafted coral habitat? It’s little clay sea creatures that have come to life with your child’s imagination. They will also dive deep into paper mache goop and design a 3D jellyfish. This week will also include projects that have artists learn multiple mediums like oil pastels and watercolors.

There’s something awesome about creating things for your own space. This “Do It Yourself” Art camp has projects that artists can tailor to decorate their rooms. They will learn to weave dream catchers and hand paint mandala rocks. The perfect picture will get to be displayed in the hand crafted clay frame that they will make. For these frames, artists will learn how to work with clay and design the perfect color coordinated motif. What’s a room without a name banner and painted lanterns to hang up, too? Artists will also learn how to paint on canvas with acrylics and hand stitch a design of their choice that pulls the whole look of their room together!

It takes a special someone to see the mythical world; with one swipe of their specially hand crafted wand it’s all possible. This legendary week will be filled with magic, imagination, and whimsy. Artists will design a dragon egg and mold to life with clay their very own little dragon. A mother dragon flying overhead will come to life on canvas when artists learn to paint with acrylics. They will also be using clay to create a mushroom house and be introduced to plasticine so they can produce fanciful creations that once only existed in their imaginations.

This week, monsters will be on the loose! Ink monsters will come to life when artists learn how to blow black ink blots. They will learn how to design and mold little clay monsters and finger puppets and by the end of the week, they will have built and created an oversized monster head. Throughout the week imaginations will be running high and I’m sure artists will be writing down and acting out how their creatures will be taking over the world! Whether they create scary green monsters or cute pink ones, make sure to come by on Friday to watch their monster performances and enjoy all the scary moments.

Artists will become one with nature and create a 3D paper mache forest animal mask! They will carefully hand craft a box that houses their water color and use a wide variety of materials that will inspire creativity. What’s that peeking from behind that tree? They’re little clay creatures nestled into a forest scene. Come and enjoy a week long adventure through the wilderness and find the beauty and joy of nature. This week will also include projects that have artists learn multiple mediums and techniques like pencil shading and oil pastels.
