This engaging, project-based class blends engineering, mixed media art, and drawing to give young artists a rich, hands-on creative experience. Over the 10-week session, students K-5th grades will experience several focused lessons in each area. Students will design and build imaginative structures, explore materials like paint, ink, clay, acrylics & collage, and strengthen their drawing skills through guided lessons in shading, perspective, and contour. With age-appropriate groupings and modified projects, artists gain confidence, problem-solving skills, and a strong foundation in both creative thinking and technical art-making.

Quantity:

Good attendance is necessary to ensure maximum progress and enjoyment of class. If an artist misses a class there are NO MAKE UPS, unless there is an extreme circumstance such as a broken bone, severe illness with a doctor’s note, or a death in the family. Please send an email immediately and a hold will be put on the classes that your child has not used. When they are ready they can resume class. We know life happens and classes get missed but it’s extremely difficult for us to keep track of missed classes for all of our artists and impossible to make them up at another class time, especially when other class sessions are full.
