This Winter Session, we're excited to offer workshops that blend creativity, skill-building and social skills. Each class is designed to nurture confidence, creativity, and artistic growth! All projects will be connected to K-12 standards.

Winter Projects and Concepts

We will be learning about Mary Blair, an American artist that focused on shapes & composition. Mt. Fuji artwork from Japan will inspire our own mountain watercolors. We will learn about Pablo Picasso and create our own portrait collages using shapes from the Cubism art movement. We will design and hand craft our own Alebrijes which is a Mexican Folk Art. Georgia O’Keffe’s watercolors will inspire movement and color in our paintings. We will be learning about Chinese New Year and be inspired by details in ancient Chinese artwork. The Tree Art will lend for inquiry of native trees that grow here in Oregon and will inspire our art. Fauvism is the art movement that introduced a new way to work with color which will inspire our landscapes. We will also learn about native snakes and handcraft 3D Snakes and the art movement of Realism will inspire our collages.

**Good attendance is necessary to ensure maximum progress and enjoyment of class. Classes are non transferable and spots cannot be given or transferred to another child. If an artist misses a class there are NO REFUNDS or MAKE UPS, unless there is an extreme circumstance.
